My Mission

The arrival in Tel Aviv, Israel at exactly 12:30 in the morning of August 25, 2024 was an experience that transcended mere travel. It was a homecoming of sorts, to a land steeped in history, faith, and profound spiritual significance. Stepping off the plane with my companion Mr. Oldesto Cutan, the air hummed with a palpable energy, a blend of ancient echoes and modern bustle. The city's skyline of Tel Aviv, a tapestry of ancient stone and modern glass, unfolded before us, a testament to its enduring presence through the ages. The streets, alive with the ebb and flow of people from diverse backgrounds.

As we navigated the Old City, the weight of history pressed upon us. The scent of spices and the sight of devout places realized me that I am few of the chosen one to be assigned in this mission. The Western Wall, a poignant remnant of the Second Temple, stood as a silent witness to centuries of prayer and longing. Each stone seemed to resonate with the hopes and dreams of generations past, reminding us of the enduring power of faith.

Our arrival in Jerusalem was not just a physical journey, but a spiritual awakening. We were welcomed by Fr. Mark Reagan Tobias, CP and Fr. Benzen Valiyeveetil, CP and Filipino friends with a bountiful feasts at St. Martha Monastery.

It was a chance to walk in the footsteps of our ancestors, to connect with the very essence of our faith, and to experience the profound beauty and complexity of this holy land. The city's energy, its history, and its people all conspired to create a profound and lasting impression, a reminder of the enduring power of faith and the enduring spirit of humanity.
